Full Face to Bare Face: My Night Routine

Hey Guys!

Welcome back to my blog. Today I will be talking about my face routine at night when I wear a full face of make up. I figured this went well with my previous post of pre make up routine. I don't usually wear a full face of make up, just seems unpractical for everyday. But when I do pile it all on, I like to make sure my face is clean as can be before I go to sleep. It is never a good idea to sleep with make up on, but we've all been there at one time or another. Let's get started!

I will post a picture of an over view here:

First thing is first, removing my foundation, blush, and eye shadow. I use the target brand make up remover towelettes. The up & up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. These things take everything off. Everything. They run for about $3 to $4 bucks for 30 towelettes - not bad. I have tried more expensive brands and honestly do not see a major difference other than in price. I use one towelette for my full face no matter how much make up I have on. I don't use this for my mascara since it will burn your eyes if you get too close.

Next, I move on to my mascara using the Maybelline Clean Express Classic Eye Makeup Remover. I put a good amount on a cotton pad and hold it down on my eye. Not rubbing just letting the product do its magic. Once I feel it has been on there long enough I gently massage my eye and you do not need to tug on your eye much. Just gently massage the pad on and it will take off all your mascara and any product that was left on your eye.

Face wash. I use a more gently face wash at night than in my morning routine. I don't want to use such a strong exfoliator twice a day - seems too harsh. The night face wash I use currently, and I say currently because I do not know if I love this product yet. Olay Regenerist Cream Cleanser, but before that, I clean my face with warm water just to get all the product the towelette carries and the eye makeup remover. This face cleanser claims to exfoliate and speed up surface cells regeneration. I have used it for about three weeks and it seems to do a great job leaving my face feel clean and refreshed. A little goes a long way with this cleanser and I can appreciate that.

Moving on, I then tone my face with my usual Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi- Action. I gently rub it through my face and down to my neck. I have noticed that my face over all complexion is much more even which I love. I know I said I didn't think I would invest in this toner again but it seems to be working greatly. I might just splurge again, can you blame me?

Lastly, I apply my current day and night cream L'Oreal Youth Code. I mentioned both the toner and this face cream in my pre makeup routine post which you can find here. You will notice that my hair is wet, that is because I ended up taking a shower after washing my face. So there you go guys, this is how I remove all of my makeup and clean my face before going to sleep. Usually I do not use the towelettes since I do not use foundation or BB cream on the norm. On a typical day I wash my face, tone, and apply my night cream. Below I added a picture of my full face to bare face. A huge difference, makeup can do wonders!

Thank you guys for stopping by!
